The Cloud Player
One of the (web)apps I installed on Jollicloud, the OS I run on my Eee PC, is The Cloud Player. It’s an interesting way of looking for remixes of popular songs and interesting new (Electro) artists.
SoundCloud
The Cloud Player is based on The SoundCloud, a platform for artists and companies to share their music online for revision or distribution purposes. It takes the songs from the SoundCloud, makes them searchable (even if you didn’t subscribe) and lets you play them in your browser with ease.
Simple and sound
One of the plusses, for me, is the possibility to login with your Google-account. I hate the fact that all websites require you to subscribe these days. What I also like about the Cloud Player are the simple layout and the ‘Smart’ Playlist, a tool that makes a playlist based on the criteria you input.
One downside, though: in the five days I’ve been using it, the Cloud Player had a significant amount of downtime… something to work on!

Very good post. I’ve found your site via Yahoo and I’m really glad about the information you provide in your articles. Btw your blogs layout is really broken on the Chrome browser. Would be really great if you could fix that. Anyhow keep up the good work!
